It's better than playing through a bass amp I will be bringing a laptop with Guitar Rig 3 and the Kontrol foot controller as well as the strat, so if we plug the controller into your amp we should have a nice little set up going. pete.young
Kiwi, I have a Dunlop Zak Wylde Wah pedal, I can bring that if you want to play with it. Please could I issue an early plea for the organisers to be a bit more ruthless with raffle prizes this year. With 70 people it could take several hours to get through all the prizes, so I'd like to see things like second-hand strings weeded out beforehand. Kiwi
Hi Pete, that would be interesting - I may be looking to buy one at some point because I think the boost bands might be narrower but would like to compare it to the simulation on Guitar Rig. timmo
A quick question please. I understand It will cost £10 entrance fee. Is there anything else I need money for? Is there refreshments for sale, or is it best to bring myself some sandwiches and drink? I assume Hamster will have tea and biscuits for sale looking at the list.
Silvia Bluejay
As you say, there will be tea and biscuits for sale to make a little more money for the good causes chosen. If it's like last year, no other food will be provided, which means bringing sandwiches and similar from home or a shop for lunch. Any other expense you may incur will depend on your GAS - you may end up buying gear... I've added Mr. Foxen to the list, hoping he'll find a way to get to Walthamstow. silverfoxnik
Point taken about the Raffle, Pete! When Jack's finished having his lie-down, we'll come up with an alternative plan for distributing all the used strings, pedal board velcro and other less appealing prizes that we've been offered.. Actually, so far the Raffle Prizes offered have been really good!
BigBeatNut
I'd like to see things like second-hand strings weeded out beforehand.
While I'm a huge fan of old, old, strings (my 'best' set is 8 yrs old) I concur that I would not be too keen on taking on strings with other people's surplus bio matter embedded. I'd assume this sentiment is mutual.

Mr. Foxen
Turns out got a gig on 21st, given choice between playing with everyone else's gear, and playing my own really stupid loud (like two Barefaced Super 15s and 200w valve heads), my stuff gettin an airing wins. If the wind is in the right direction, y'all should be able to hear it though.
