Jazzneck
It's 99% certain that I'll be there. I am travelling down the A12 and round the north section of the M25 - If anyone wants a lift, PM me please. I'll have room for a body with a bass and a small amp/combo jobbie...... jcater
Will definitely be there as for once I'm not playing on the same night. Not sure that there is much I can add to the fantastic range of gear that is coming, but look forward to meeting everyone. Does Bernie Goodfellow go to these? The Coach & Four is 'up on blocks' at the moment as I believe the lower classes are wont to say. Actually, I was toying with the notion of experiencing one of these new-fangled horseless carriages that seem to be rather popular, so if anyone was planning on going that lives anywhere near Lewisham, Forest Hill, Catford or even the horror that is Croydon & would be willing to give me a lift I'd appreciate it. Happy to bung in towards petrol costs.
Staying unashamedly 20th Century, then ? JapanAxe
As previously mentioned, I have room to transport at least one person, possibly 2, in my big feck-off estate - depending on the kit you intend to bring, obviously! I am travelling from Swindon, so will pass Reading, Slough, Windsor etc. If you were thinking of coming but have no transport, or want to save a few bob by sharing fuel costs, PM me with your mobile number. silverfoxnik
Hi Folks We have to move the times of the 2 workshops in the Foyer slightly, as follows: Foyer: 15.20 - 15.50 'Making the transition to double bass & what you need to start gigging' - Clarky 15.55 - 16.30 'Basic to advanced technique workshop Q&A' - Urb It's just that Urb needs to get away sharpish at 4.30pm.. Silvia Bluejay
Thanks Nik - I've amended and replaced the downloadable documents. Looks like the links I gave previously are still valid, but just in case, here they are again, fresh from the new versions in my Dropbox: Word file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/90710763/South%20East%20Bass%20Bash%20No7.docx PDF: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/90710763/South%20East%20Bass%20Bash%20No7.pdf

Hamster
The Tour of Britain cycle race will be in the area of the Bash on Saturday - http://www.gosurrey....s/2013-tour-map There should be no problems using the M.25, coming off at J.11 and into Addlestonemoor and to the venue. It may get busy on a few side roads between 1330 to 1530 if you come in other than by the motorway. Got to start planning the cake stall now! Mrs Hamster will assist me as usual. I'll stick to tea, coffee, squash and pastries as per previous years because it's a pain if I start doing sandwiches again. Tesco is only 2 minutes away if anyone needs sandwiches etc.
Russ
Very decent of you sir.
I'm in the Cronx, and I'll have a spare passenger seat. But I won't have too much room for extra gear, since I only have a little horseless carriage... urb
Hello peeps, Really looking forward to this Saturday - looks like it's going to be really busy, hopefully we can keep the noise levels (relatively) under control I just wanted to say my little workshop thing is really for those who wanted to know about specific playing techniques but were afraid to ask etc - I will have to leave by around 4.30pm so it'll be short and sweet and by that time I suspect most of your brains/ears will be completely bassed-out - so if you see me during the day and want to talk technique, or harmony, theory (I know a little about that stuff) or slappy/4-finger picking things then please do so - I'll be very happy to chat. It's just a bit of fun and hopefully I can enlighten a few of you to the ways of the force... I mean bass... whatever Looking forward to it Cheers Mike
Sibob
Wow, yes, really looking like it'll be well attended. It's looking like this is the first year I won't have to shoot off to a gig, so looking forward to chilling out a bit Si
