timmo
Do people have to bring something to attend? I only have a Warwick Fortress Rockbass and a 50 watt Eden amp, so nothing of any interest. Silvia Bluejay
Out of curiosity, why do people refer to the plural of Status basses as Statii, when it should actually be Stati? Timmo, you are wecome to attend just for the socialising angle
EssentialTension
Out of curiosity, why do people refer to the plural of Status basses as Statii, when it should actually be Stati?
I've always wondered where the double i came from too. Especially given that the Latin singular status has the Latin plural status as it is a u-stem not an o-stem. Meanwhile, the English plural of status is statuses. Of course, the owners of Statuses can call their basses whatever they like.

Silvia Bluejay
I imagined they didn't mean to follow the Latin 5th declension (bo-ring!), but Stati would look a little less odd. Come to think of it, that's probably why they chose the weird version! We all noticed it now
