[*]Reception for quiet contemplation in the long hours of the raffle :P Actually that went much better this year with fewer & bigger and the Tombola that sadly failed to materialise due to time constraints.

Noise in the hall really didn't bother me. Then again I didn't unload the car, as there was plenty of BF & GB in attendance without mine being added, and spent most of my time in the other three rooms

Still on my hard disk, slowly being whittled down to a manageable number. Nearly there :)

ATTENTION - Status owners who brought their basses to the Bass Bass.

As a former Status owner (Status S2 5er headed 1993) and hope to be an owner of a Status again I was very pleased and not a little envious of all the lovely Statii on show last Saturday. One in particular caught my attention but I cannot now remember who the owner was.

The bass was an all carbon fibre example, 5 string headed and it had a Maple(?) capped body and binding. The owner of this wonderful instrument let me have a go on it and it was fabulous. The thing is I don't seem to be able to find a similar instrument on the Status web site or the Statii owners web site. So could the owner of the gorgeous instrument please get in contact and tell me what model it is and hopefully send me a photo or two so that I have an example of the bass for future reference, 'cos I want one... :gas:

Nice bass .... I have an almost identical spec S1 (fretless, 5, 5-knob pre, but ebonol fingerboard) in a different colour. Would have been nice to A/B the two of them.

Cant remember who but I had a chat with someone at the bash about replacing the valve in an LH500, and what I'd used on Plux's. It generally tidied up the rather harsh top end and sounds all round a tad tighter in the bootom end too.

Anyway it was [url="http://www.watfordvalves.com/product_detail.asp?id=1423"]one of these Harma Cryo / ECC83-STR/HARMA CRYO [/url]from Watford Valves. Worked a treat too, instantly noticeable difference. Recommended :D

I'm nearly there with the Bash blog, but I need a little help. If anyone has a photo of Urb giving his talk, and wouldn't mind me publishing it in the blog together with the ones I took of the other talks (with full acknowledgement obviously), I would be very grateful if you could email/PM it to me :)
Also, what was/were the name(s) of the new Markbass effects Bryn was presenting? I had to rush in and out of his talk and didn't memorise any details :blush:

Thank you all for your patience and support! I will also create a Flickr album with quite a lot of good photos that I couldn't possibly add to my already rather long blog.

Bryn was demoing the new Markbass Multi Amp..but I'm not sure what else he was demoing.

I'll contact him to find out..

Good job, Sylvia! I just read through your SEBB blog and your pics made me even more sorry I wasn't able to make it.
Next year... fer sure!! :)
Also - to whoever owns them, I'm curious about the set of bass pedals. They look like a custom job of sorts. More info please...? :)
