BassTractor
That's why I like gorgomyte so much
Post all you like. I'm NOT off to Mordor to get hold of it. In fact I even fear its name. "Gawr Gohw Myte". Sounds like something that'll find its way out of the tin by night, and climb the bedpost. Noisyjon
It's all about gorgomyte. Amazing stuff. Brings up the frets to a mirror like finish. On a Warwick in Particular they look incredible. Give it a spin, I've sworn by it for years. Coilte
Re "Gorgomyte" : Who gives a f**k about the name ? If indeed it does what it says on the tin, (sachet !) then it truely is a break through. Personally, I am just curious as to how such a "miracle" can remain virtually unknown for any length of time.

gafbass02
What he said. I always buy from JJ direct. He introduced me to the stuff personally back in 2005 when we were supporting Styx on the uk leg of their tour. They made sure our kit was tended to, which included 'gorgomyting' and when I saw and felt the difference to my basses frets I was sold. Which was of course his intention, but he's a top bloke and the stuff just works. Using it on a maple fingerboard is a scary experience as it starts to go black, but it wipes off no problem when you buff.

goblin
I mask off and use lemon oil on the green bit of a kitchen sponge. I'll then demask and clean all the gunk from the wood and wipe the lemon oil on, leave for a bit and then wipe off the excess. Works a treat! TRBboy
Planet Waves Fret Polishing System! I use it every time I re-string; easy, quick, no mess, no masking off, good results. http://www.planetwaves.com/PWVideo.Page?MediaId=7948&MediaName=Fret_Polishing_System_Product_Demo&sid=7524d712-ec0b-4de0-bc21-a0766ffaec1d If your frets are REALLY manky, you might have to use metal polish or whatever the first time, but if you stay on top of it with the Fret Polishing System thereafter, you never need to do it again. I swear by it! I usually get it (and my strings) from Stringbusters because they're cheap and the service is incredible: http://www.stringbusters.com/Ko-Bespoke/productlist.asp?cat=1/BITS%20-%20PIECES/BITS%20-%20PIECES%20GUITAR%20CARE
