Having got some useful recommendations about a small vocal monitor it got me thinking about the wedges I already have. I bought them s/h as a pair, one powered and the other a slave to run off it so they could be used as a small scale PA in an emergency. They run at 75W on one 8ohm or paired at about 150W 4ohm. They work fine but I've never seen another one nor anything else by the same manufacturer. I'm sure I read somewhere that MAJ were based in w midlands and the M and J stood for the initials of the bloke who started it and his wife. Anyone know anything else about them?

Has a slightly eccentric web site...looks like he makes some very good amps. I'd love to try one of his small jazz guitar amps for double bass - I suspect it would be very nice. One day, maybe.

There are some demos on YouTube too

How weird, tried a few google searches and that never came up! Nice to see they are still going in some form, he sounds a bit of a 'character'. I get the impression that the monitors I have are well built and have had no issues with them and at £100 for the powered + slave matched pair were probably a good deal
Cheers
