tredders
This is now on hold, pending funds. Thanks for all the interest. I keep doing this (a quick search will find all of the non-P basses I buy and then quickly sell).... I really should learn by now that I only like P basses, so here's one for the chopping block. It's a CIJ '62 Re-issue Jazz, in Coral Pink (at least I was told it was Coral pink, I can't tell the difference between Coral and Shell). The serial number dates it to 1997. Excuse the dust on the photos! The Good:

It's in immaculate condition - no dinks, scratches, rubs or whatever.
The neck is lovely - really fast.
It's a very cool colour
It's pretty light (between 9 - 9.5 lbs on my bathroom scales)
It sounds just like a Jazz bass should.
The Bad:

It sounds just like a Jazz bass should
Seriously, it's a really nice bass, but I only play P basses, and it's a shame to have this sitting in the rack not being played. I'm after £500, collected from j.12 M40 (Gaydon) or from my office in Solihull. Postage will be at cost. If it's posted, I have a tatty old hard case to protect it. If you collect it, I'll give you a nice softcase for it. Things I'd trade for:

CIJ P bass (maple neck only, preferably not sunburst)
Lakland Bob Glaub (maple only) or Duck Dunn
Gibson (not Epiphone) Thunderbird
Lightweight combo
Or pretty much anything else you might want to try me with!
Should also say that I don't mind adding cash for the right trade (whatever that might be!) Any questions, let me know. I think I'm going to hold out for a while longer, thanks - I've got a few people trying to rustle up cash at the moment,

lozbass
Fantastic colour - proper early shell pink with the light flesh tone - I'd have this just because it looks so cool. Some reverse Klusons or lollipops and binding and this could be a dream bass for me...I just don't play long-scale any longer
