I know its for charity and all that but it looks like it says Squier on the headstock to me, cant quite make it out!

I think you're about bang on there. I can't quite make out the headstock but the American Vintage ones have plastic knobs as opposed to the chrome VMJ ones and this ebay one appears to have something written on the pickups (ie. Duncan Designed) = Squier VMJ.


Plus - if you bought a new one, it wouldn't have all that writing on it!!

I messaged the guy with a link to the Squier product page. I just can't help think that he is being delibrately misleading because of the photos that he chose. They are seem to make the headstock tricky to view at first glance. I hope that I am wrong.

Wow, a Squier signed by a 'pub-rock' band and a starting bid of £600. I'm surprised the listing doesn't say "Bargain" or something equally as annoying.

lol. at least if I win (which I wont) ill have a cheep bass to find out how to get some pen off varnished wood.
