mfisher91
I know there is already a thread about what first fretless bass to buy, and there's some good advice there too, but my question is slightly different. I'm looking at buying a fretless bass, but cannot afford the higher price tags. My current bass is a Fender p bass (99/2000). I really like the look of the Aria Pro II fretless that's currently on eBay, anyone got any knowledge on it? He's sent me extra pictures and information and it looks really nice, but I wanted to see if anyone's played one before. I've also been looking at a fretless jazz Fender http://www.guitargui...roduct-overview, I'm guessing this is the mexican one? It doesn't say but I see others (none signature) that are £1000+ Any reviews on Warick Rockbass too? bh2
I had an Aria SB1000 fretless... damn fine instrument. Sold it to someone here, it went straight to a shop I think. Squier VM Jazz fretless is very nice and a good price too.
Qlank
I've got a VM fretless, lovely bass for the money.
EssentialTension
It's not essential but the more your fretless bass is like your fretted bass then the better your muscle memory will serve you when you change over.
mfisher91
Thanks for the advice. The aria really does look nice, and I've seen a nice looking Warick Corvette too.
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
If you can find a Vester ( not curry), try one. Great basses& not pricey
Mr Fretbuzz
I might look at the Fender Jazz Fretless at some stage :-) pretty sure it's Mexican
neepheid
It's not essential but the more your fretless bass is like your fretted bass then the better your muscle memory will serve you when you change over.
Agreed, I got a BB350F with that exact reasoning in mind (I had a BB300 at the time, had a BB614 before that and currently have a BB450)
