Are you based in Japan? As that's some serious import costs buyers will need to consider :)

According to www.dutycalculator.com a bass guitar has an import duty rate of 3.7% and VAT rate of 20%.

Edit - don't know if VAT applies to second hand instruments?

Week end price drop total £795 :)
so say £800 plus say 25% import duty and vat = £200 = total £1000. Is that about right?

The buyer pays £795 to me. The buyer will have to pay a tax of about £200 separately for the customs of the UK.
Is this answer all right?

Bump for a great bass/great price and a nice guy. Yasuhito gets his vets bills sorted and you get a great JV. No serious import costs to consider really... I'm sure Yasuhito will be favourable to the buyer with paperwork, right Yasuhito? :)
