Finally got my home studio set up sorted - I've been using the front room for everything since I moved 2 months ago. Very cool to have some space again...

My workstation:

Behind the desk/'live' space:

Spare (as in 'not currently on my pedalboard' shelves):

Loving the monochrome/minimal vibe! :)
Thanks dude,

My camera settings have made it all look black and white, when in actual fact the colours are slightly softer and warmer in there - The walls are a soft magnolia and the furniture is Ikea's Black-Brown, no it's all quite neutral. There a touch more colour in there too now... it's still evolving :) Sounds great in there though!

As you can see it's a very simple setup with my mascot chicken taking up prime position, permanently perched on a speaker. I knew when I spied him across heaps of tangled wires, remote controls and broken children's toys at the Deptford junk market all those years ago I had to save him. He watches over me and I look after him. We're like brothers.

It's just a Mac running Logic into an EMU 0404 (so I guess I have a chicken and an emu!). No mixer - don't need one as the 0404 is so well designed. There's a Roland cube nestling under the desk. I've had the same amp and speakers since 1988.

Close up of the creative force behind my music:

My god, you are all so neat n clean n organised. No way that I am putting my studio in this thread, someone would contact environmental health.

I have got a week and a few days off coming up and hope to finally decorate/sort/assemble my studio/snug/TVroom project , it is having to be all things to all dwellers , but 3 out of the 4 are intersted in playing and recording so I have a chance of some input here :D

Photos will be forthcoming when there is enough light coming from the end of the tunnel to illuminate it :o

Is it just me, or does this look like a miniature set-up in a doll's house? :shok:
Nope, definitely just you Mark :D

I'm liking the imperious chicken. I want one. That bass looks kerr-ay-zee... is that a custom job? It looks like it would sit a bit too low down on the player's knee. But it could be the Doll's House effect messing with my eyes
