Subbeh Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Sorry, I think I can see what you're going for but to me it just looks bad . Quote
SPHDS Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Hmmmm....not a huge fan of 'New' (sorry!), Do like the 'Thunder 'F'' on the 'Old' though! I do quite like the almost 'non-reverse' pick guard of Entwhistle's original Fenderbird (although I first came to notice that particular wonder in the hands of Leon Wilkeson of Skynyrd.....!) I'd try and work a split pick guard (with the 'Thunder F') to emulate that. (and work with the 'spine' bevel of a T-bird....!?!) Quote
Dave Vader Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I also like the new one, rust is great. (and never sleeps) Quote
Ghost_Bass Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I´m not particlarly too fond of the new one but i think it's a huge improvement regading the old one... i hate seeing that metal sheet on basses and on a thunderbird body it just looks silly to me. Quote
Ou7shined Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I think the rest the bass should show similar distressing in order to pull off this look successfully. Quote
cytania Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 New one has a beautiful patina, old one is just brutal. Quote
dougieb Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I quite like the new one. I have a leather tooled scratcher on my TBird that looks kinda cool. Quote
