Ashwood1985
Hi guys, Something a little different from the usual stomp box drooling.... So basically, I have just used the Waves V-Comp for the first time on bass and nearly wet myself Sublime. Seriously. The detail in the tops it brought out without being harsh (lovely 'analoguey' fret noise on slides), rich mids and solid lows. OMG I can't tell you how chuffed I am to have this sound! (It was my passive jazz running through my eden rig via a Senn 441 mic - then V-Comp the only plug) So for all you mixers out there - pros or hobbyists - what's your fave and why?? Ashwood1985
Just downloaded a demo of wave's Kramer PIE compressor - a quick test on vocals proved it to be an extremely smooth and natural compressor with a subtle but present depth added to the tone. Will report back after a bass test
