I paid as much for the amp alone. A heavy but powerful rig. This is one of only two rigs that I've owned that will literally shake your eyeballs in their sockets (not recommended but impressive non-the-less). The Quantum 600 was H&K's top-of-the-range bass head at it's launch. Thanks to the clever impedance selector on the rear panel, this head can deliver it's 600 watts into loads of either 2.8 / 4 / 5.3 or 8 ohms. Also on the rear panel is a balanced DI out (pre or post EQ switchable) with ground lift, a line out and an FX loop. The front panel has more tone shaping options than you're likely to need (see pic below). Left to right (simplified) .....

Gain - to match bass output to preamp input
Punch switch - emulates a valve amp set up to give a clean sound for a livlier punchier tone
Four band EQ - boosting or cutting one control also has the opposite effect on it's neighbours
Bass shape - Cuts 80Hz frequencies to counteract 'boomy' stages
Mid boost - boosts a broad range of frequencies around 220Hz to give a more 'classic' tone
HF Character - adds a bit of sparkle. More noticable with active basses
Tube Growl - Self expanitory
There are also sockets for the optional footswitch and headphones Head comes with it's own padded cover and is therefore in very good / excellent condition The BC215H cabinet comes quipped with two 15" drivers and a high frequency horn. The latter is controlled by circuitry in the rear panel and HIGH - NORMAL - LOW or OFF can be selected. The cabinet is in good used condition with a few battle scars and I have fitted heavy duty swivelling wheels (with locks) to it because of its weight ......Oh, and I forgot to mention it the amp looks damned sexy when it's all lit up on stage It's just too heavy to post. It can be collected from my DY3 (Dudley) address or I can deliver within a reasonable distance for fuel costs. Edited July 26, 2013 by MoJo
Guest MoJo Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 A little interest in the head, which I am prepared to sell at £400 shipped
