TPJ
There is one of these on the 'bay here Man if I knew I could sell my current DB quickly I'd have a go at this for portability sakes if anything (I drive a Yaris). TPJ
No I haven't. I don't think there are many in the UK. A few top pros look to be using them from info obtained on the website. Just looks like a great idea all 'round.

I know that thwaites in watford can get them. I think that your talking about £3500 maybe £4000 for the bass gigbag pickup and hardcase. If you travel abroad alot its well worth it. I believe the size and weight of it the airlines cannot refuse it, and it wont cost alot in excess baggage. Alot of people are using for this exact reason as its harder and harder to travel with the double. I saw larry granadier use one with bill frisell recently and sounded amazing. The only thing i found was unamplified the bass lost a little of the lowend. But as most peoples gigs i guess are amped, no worries there. jakenewmanbass
I turned down my last foreign job offer to Tahiti for exactly that reason, sounds exotic... not with a 7 foot 52 kilo hard case it's not, airlines are just making it impossible these days. If you're traveling alot and need portability, the Eminence is even more portable and less expensive. I guess it depends if you will always be using a pickup instead of a mike. I can't see the Eminence miking very well, the Czech-Ease would be better at that.
