I'd say these are uber-rare even inJapan, and hard to price - CIJ Q serials date to 2002 - 2004 and this was likely a not-for-export model. I found a 2002 catalogue on line and it isn't listed, don't have a 2003 or 2004 catalogue. It doesn't seem that unreasonable to me.

Yup, wonderful looking bass but I'm about to put my AV62RI Stack Knob up for fractionally less then this one is out at . And it's Japanese!
