Paul_1991
Hi I have a '97 Modulus Flea (without the truss rod). When slapping the F on the E string at the first fret, I noticed a fretbuzz. This is the only place on the fret board which buzzes. On closer inspection, I noticed the 2nd fret has slightly lifted by a gnat's knacker on the bass side of the neck. Placing a steel ruler across the frets, the ruler is riding on the 2nd fret quite obviously. Bearing in mind this is a graphite neck with a composite fingerboard, I would be grateful if any folk could give me advice on how best to have this fault corrected and of any recommended repairers who maybe specialise in graphite necks. Or are these necks and fretboards pretty run-of-the-mill for any competent luthier? Thanks in advance
CHRISDABASS
Hi Paul This issue could be sorted quite simply. We would usually press the fret back in with our fret press and maybe add a little glue to help prevent it happening again. Let me know if you need any help or advice Cheers Chris
