FlatEric
I thought I had another bottle of this but can't find it. I swear by this stuff and there is only a drop left. Part of the label is ripped, so I can't get any details off it! Thunder Glide Bass String Care. Help! Cheers.
Jono Bolton
Never seen that before, what exactly is it for? Is there a similar product you can use?
Bilbo
Try Duraglit.
Happy Jack
Do you drink it, sniff it, or rub it?
goingdownslow
It has been especially formulated for use on Thunder Glide Bass strings.
mentalextra
Sounds like "snake oil"? Wait for the 'medicine man' to come to town again
FlatEric
Ha! You guys! You don't sniff it and it is not "essence of snake"! I bought some from a guitar show, ages ago and having got half way down that bottle, I bought two more when I went to another show. I guess I must be on the last bottle now. It works like Fast Fret but seems to last a lot longer - certainly all the way through one set - quick wipe in the break and you're off again. It also protects the strings - sometimes it may be 5 or 6 months before I will open the case of the next victim and the strings are just as I left them, having applied this "snake oil" I would just like to get hold of some more. Cheers.
BassTractor
OK, you charmed me enough. PM me a postal address and I'll sent you some living snakes, and you can extract the stuff yourself. I won't send the readily extracted drops. EU Apply-By-Date rules 'n' stuff. Sorry. best, bert

BILL POSTERS
Tried Johnsons Baby Oil ? Bit thicker than fast fret. Cheaper than Thunder glides 'especially formulated' stuff as well I bet.
gafbass02
Wow, i swear I used to have a bottle of that. Gotta be fifteen years ago though. Packaging reminds me of elites strings back in the day Edited July 29, 2013 by gafbass02

Surely someone else must have used some of this? I think I bought the last lot 3 or 4 years ago ish. Looks like I'm now on a mission to find something else like it. I'll keep you posted. Cheers. gafbass02
I'm being dead serious lol. Exactly the same stuff, same bottle, when I was still at school ( 37 now) I'm sure of it. I've a stack of old bassist magazines I'll have a root through when I get a sec I bet it'll be in there.
