ras52
So I accidentally bought one of these while in the shop for something else http://www.fender.co...rboard-natural/ While in the shop it occurred to me that I didn't have a bag/case to fit it, so we tried a few and found that a gig bag designed for a 335 did the trick. Then I got home and realised I didn't have a stand for it... I have a mix of Hercules and Schubb Talon mini floor stands. This baby flaps around on the Hercules acoustic stand - any suggestions for something similar that would hold this? The spec says it's 2.75" thick at the base. mart
Get one of these and you can adjust it to whatever body thickness in want. http://www.thomann.de/gb/km_17550_egitarrenstaender.htm The only problem I have is that the adjusters can get knocked when you lift a guitar off the stand, which you then need to watch out for when you out the guitar down again. But the cover that you can buy separately might deal with that issue.
andydye
Nice geetar matey! I have an electric floor stand that may do the job nicely if you're interested? Should be fine if it fits in a 335 style bag but I'll measure it when I get home to check?
krysh
tried a lot over 30 years. ended up with these or the hercules alternative: http://www.thomann.de/gb/km_17670_guitarstand_memphis_pro.htm

I also spotted this one, it looks like it may be a bit "plasticky": http://www.amazon.co.uk/TRAVEL-STAND-ACOUSTIC-ELECTRIC-GUITAR/dp/B00B4EJXE0/ref=pd_sim_sbs_MI_3 as I couldn't spot a UK dealer for the K&M stand - and do not want to be tempted to spend around £185 to qualify for Thomann free delivery! Thanks for this and other suggestions... so far I'm a floor-stand man, and haven't considered hanging stands.

OldG
I'm interested in finding out how a Hercules doesn't work... I use mine for a Jazz, BC RIch,.Strat,Tele,Les Paul and acoustics of different sizes. I'd guess you are trying to stand on the lower leg rather than resting the back against it - happens a lot when uninitiated pepole use it.... xgsjx
+1 for the Hercules stand. I use mine for bass & electro acoustic guitar (one at a time of course).
mart
Ah, an adjustable base - neat. It is very plasticky, so probably won't last too long with much rough handling, but otherwise it does the job. It's coped with a dreadnought, a telecaster, a thumb and a hollowbody and all have balanced well. And even with a cable plugged in (as long as it's right-angled jack) they were fine whereas sometimes the socket would end up on top of a leg on some other stands. It is very low to the ground. if you have a strap button right at the end of your bass, and some kinds of strap locks, then there may be issues. I've got Dunlop straplocks on the Thumb, and it wasn't exactly resting on both legs of the stand properly, but was still reasonably stable. Schaller straplocks might be too much for it though. One curiosity is that it doesn't need to adjust at all - with it set at the maximum (for the dread) it would still happily take every thing else - the front part of the slidey bit actually makes very little difference. One final and very unexpected bonus: it holds my mandobird very easily too! One corner goes underneath the leg while the other is on top, but it works and is quite stable. I'm chuffed! MiltyG565
I have a fairly thin acoustic guitar, and it sits fine in a cheap stagg stand. Stagg stands aren't too bad these days, the arms have a few different notches in them for different thicknesses of guitar, and I think they are about £15 each. That's just my experience. It's hard to tell how thin your guitar is from that photo. Mine is probably between 3.5 inches and 4 inches. If you really want, I could take a photo of the guitar and how it sits in the stand if you like? At £15 though, it's nearly worth the punt. ras52
Mine's 2.75" thick (oerr missus) so is unstable on this: But would probably be OK on something like this, which is guess is similar to the Stagg: BTW, that one above is ultra-cheap on Amazon - in the Kitchen & Home category! http://www.amazon.co.uk/HAUSEN-FOLDING-A-FRAME-ACOUSTIC-ELECTRIC/dp/B00D3OBK0O/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1375953032&sr=8-2&keywords=guitar+floor+stand

I don't need a cheap one now though, I bought 3 recently. My mate did me a good deal on them though He's also selling Hercules wall hangers 2 for 1 for £14! I think he's losing his mind
OldG
My mistake, I was wrongly assuming that this was the Hercules stand you had....nevertheless,It'll do the job nicely.
