From an armchair and seeing that a lot of dreamers are asking £250 plus for a Satalite or Kay plank this didn't seem to be a unrealistic? What a fickle market it is for bass guitars. I mean the ad' even tells me it's iconic! Quote
BigRedX Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Still some time left in the auction. AFAIC the real bidding only happens in the last 15 seconds, the rest of the time is viewing time. Plus its collection only. That always limits your market. Quote

I was bidding on Yamaha BB a few months back, went from something like £38 odd quid all week to £190'ish in the last 20 mins! Quote
Paul S Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 I think these are absolutely beautiful but for me too heavy and neck too fat. Doesn't stop me looking, though. Quote
iconic Posted August 4, 2013 Author Posted August 4, 2013 yeah, nice looking thing, very tempting actually...are they any good though? Quote
BetaFunk Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 This has been relisted. I like B-301s and this looks like a decent un-molested example but it's 'cash on collection only'. Like all items that are collection only it massively limits buyers and proves yet again that some of the best bargains on ebay are 'collection only'. Quote
discreet Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Not a million miles away, but it's a bit too 'Edgar Allan Poe' for me. Quote
FinnDave Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Had one back in the late 70s, good sound, but neck-dive hell. Good basses if you only ever play sitting down. Quote
Mr. Foxen Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Problem is no-one famous played one, and it doesn't look like a bass anyone famous played. Nice instruments, but the pickups aren't potted, which could do with sorting. Quote
