Mr Bassman Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 (edited) Thought I'd stick my neck out with this. I bought it new in the late 70's It's seen some action and could do with some t.l.c. I had it converted to five string some years ago but it would be easy enough to return it to four with some filler and a new nut. It could be a good project instrument for someone with the necessary skills, or maybe just a piece of wal art. Edited August 4, 2013 by Mr Bassman
gary mac Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 would have been all over this if it was still a four string.
dudewheresmybass Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Has mdp joined our merry band under a pseudonym?
gary mac Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013
Has mdp joined our merry band under a pseudonym?
Don't think so. If it was him he would have been extolling the virtues of getting rid of all the superfluous bits and just leaving the vitally important component for easier playing
Mr Bassman Posted August 4, 2013 Author Posted August 4, 2013
I'll give you £500 for it.
Ok, but you'll have to pay postage
Roger2611 Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 I reckon if you find MDP on evilbay he will give you at least twice what you are asking for such a fine example and with all the hardwork already done
bassninja Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 More pics, please. Looks like there's a crack near the nut.
GregBass Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Would this fit directly onto a Status headless to make it complete and usable, or would that involve heavy woodwork?
Happy Jack Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 What does this weigh? And is it prone to neck-dive?

TPJ Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 This might be worth more than you think as it could be from the 60's. That little hole is a dead give away.

mart Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 You're in the wrong forum, mate. If you're selling a head it should be in the "amps & cabs" section.
