I've been using a GB10 Bass Trainer for practicing at work lately and while I'm impressed with it I think the lack of a line in lets it down. So, what I was thinking of doing is getting a double 1/4' adapter and a 1/4' to 3.5mm and stacking them in order to run my Bass and my phone (Spotify) through the same channel. Anyone know if this would work or should I just get myself down Maplins and give it a go.

Worth a shot. The disappearing line in annoyed me when the mp3 based trainers were introduced. I still have my original CD-BT 1 Mk2 and use it just because of this.

It does kinda let down what is otherwise a useful tool. Anyway off down maplins now so we'll see if it works.

Thought I'd update this should anyone be interested.

It didn't work, I could get great sound from my phone through the bass trainer but as soon as I plugged both the bass & the phone in together I lose the bass.

Your bass is trying to drive the output of your phone - and failing! You could try putting a 1k resistor in line with each source.

I wouldn't know where to begin to be honest, it's not a problem just thought it might be a useful addition.
