discreet Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 At least it's got that chrome handle to stop anyone from actually playing it. Quote

mart Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 I think it's quite cool building a little pick draw into your bass like that. Much more sophisticated a solution than sticking your spare picks to a mic stand. But after I'd read half a page of his "philosophy" I did start wondering if Mark D Philips could maybe learn a thing or two. Quote
Kiwi Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Clearly it is a gift that he choose to share with us. We should feel grateful and blessed that we are given the opportunity to share the experience of this sincere expression of his inspiration with each other. And it will increase in Value. Quote

In fact I used the same pick for about 20 years - until I lost it. Quote

alyctes Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 I am slightly reassured by the description... the "artist" says repeatedly that it's "one of a kind". Hopefully it will stay that way. Quote
LukeFRC Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 some of his other stuff isn't too bad! bit of a shame to wreck that kawai half moon guitar though Quote
iconic Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 ....just when yoyu thought you'd seen every possible way to ruin a bass (no offence MDP) this comes along....simply mind biggling! Quote

yorks5stringer Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 (edited) Looking through his items for sale( I see he has eschewed Art Galleries and put his pieces closer to the hands of the people-eBay) I saw this beautiful interpretive piece:http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200944370115&item=200944370115&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466. gruffers Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 (edited) It matches my slippers. I'd be lying if I said i didn't like the cherokee stylings. (duck and cover) Although I'm pretty sure only the creator himself will ever truly understand that chrome handle action... My Nan has an identical handle like that on her bathroom cupboard!
