artisan Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 (edited) *new price £600.00* well since i'm just about to spend a whole load of dosh on a custom Alpher bass & need to raise some cash to help pay for it this lovely bass is back up for sale at a silly reduced price of £600.00 which is a total steel for a bass of this quality, so buy it Fantastic quality bass guitar hand made by Esh Basse in Burgthann,Germany. I bought this bass from Bass Direct here in the U.K. only a few months ago & have to say it is a fabulous bass with extremely high build quality,it really does play like a dream, sounds awesome too with a very good range of sounds available. Here's how Bass Direct described my bass - "Finished in a beautiful Red trans finish over a lovely piece of flamed maple, this bass has real class. The EMG J style pickups give some classic J tones with crisp attack and full low end. The Piezo bridge adds a new dimension to the already impressive range of sounds. If you are looking for a new four string bass then this is a must." " •Body - Swamp ash Flame Maple top in red hand applied stain. Flame Maple headstock •Finish - High Gloss Clear •Neck - 3 piece American Maple bolt on neck with Walnut stringers, patented Ultra Contact neck pocket construction •Nut - Graphite •Frets - Medium Jumbo •Fingerboard - Wenge, 34" scale, 24 frets •Pickups - 2 x Active EMG J pickups, Individual Piezos •Controls - Volume, Tone, Pickup selector, Esh-Tronics control* •Bridge - Schaller/ESH custom bridge in Ruthenium finish •Tuners - Schaller M4 type 2000 in Ruthenium finish •Weight - 8lb 14oz, 4kgs *THE UNIQUE SOUND / Esh-Tronic The Piezo bridge combined with the patented esh-tronic delivers one of the best Piezo sounds available. Together with a studio direct out, it provides the professional player with a very flexible and perfect tone. This special system is the perfect circuit for the active EMG pick ups and our USP, the finest Piezo-Design. The esh tronic is your "command"-knob to switch several circuits: a)Direct Out. For studio use, a direct out for the EMG pickups which bypasses all the electronics. b)Magnetic Pick ups only. In combination with the toggle switch knob you can think of it as a preset c)Magnetic and Piezo Pick up. This combines the "best of both worlds" d)Piezo only. This is an unbelievable deep sound, precise and clear with a full low end. Not typical of the usual "thin Piezo sound"! The pick-up system is powered by one 9 volt battery. If you were to play 8 hours a day the battery would still last you a year due to the tiny amount of energy that it uses. It is clear that Esh basses are at the cutting edge of sound and design! nuff said (link to this actual bass) http://www.bassdirec...ious_4_Red.html there is a small mistake in Bass Direct's listed specs as this bass has a Wenge fret board.(corrected on here but not the web) So come on & grab yourself a bit of a bargain as these have a List price of £1434.99 ! I have a good quality condition gig bag for this bass which you are welcome too. I don't have a box to post this to you so it is collection only i'm afraid although i may drive a small way to meet up with the buyer, trust me this bass is worth the drive. flippyfloop Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Played this bass at Bass Direct & was very impressed. Does have a huge range of sounds. Was a bargain at RRP so this is a steal.
juliusmonk Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Pity you're not shipping this, I might take it as I'm in 'buying mode' now. I did try one of these years ago (single PU model) and it's one of those basses you don't think much of at first sight and can't put down afterwards. Fun to play.
chuck_stones Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Ooooh, that is nice. You up for any trades? If I'm able to shift my MM Sterling I would be interested. Would also love to hear some sound clips if you have any?!
artisan Posted August 6, 2013 Author Posted August 6, 2013 hi guys,it is very nice isn't it sorry i don't have any sound clips or anything to record them with but rest assured it does have a multitude of tones available,it even does a passable Wal kind of sound. i really like it but just don't use it & the wife wants a new bathroom suit too so i need some dosh so trades are not really an option i'm afraid - - well unless you have a nice old Aria SB that is. shipping could be possible if only i can find a suitable box that the Hiscox hard case will fit into, mmm.
