Anyone ever heard of these?

http://www.avid.com/US/products/eleven-rack_2/features#overview

Guitarist friend of mine blagged one cheap and ain't sure what he's got! Can he connect such a thing straight into his Marshall 4 x12 cab? he's trying to avoid using his Marshall valve head completely, will he need some kind of separate power amp?

He's asked me and I have no idea.....over to you oh great and sage basschatters

So if its a pre amp, he still needs some kind of power amp between it and his cab? He don't want to use his Marshall valve head, any suggestions as to what he should use?

Cheers!

yeah, u will still need a power amp.
Guitar>Eleven>power amp>speaker cabinet
The beauty of it is any old P.A amp will do really. I would recommend about 300Watts rms@8ohms from a solid state amp to be (can of worms time....) arguablly as loud as the valve marshall depending on which marshall cab u use.

Have fun with all those tones;)
