danbowskill
love the sound of my DoD filter, but the volume drop is a major pain in the backside! any of you fine pedal diy's out there be able to mod it so the volume matches clean for me?? cheers, Dan I know there is a thread on talkbass about it....... Kev
To be honest, there are so many filters out there that equal or better than the fx25b for little more money, it really isn't worth the effort and cost. If you insist on using it, why not buy a cheap clean boost and stick it after it in the chain?
mcnach
If you really like the FX25B, you could use it with a Boss LS-2, and use the LS-2 to switch it on/off and adjust the volume. I always have at least one LS-2, as there are quite a lot of pedals that either sound too loud or too quiet, or need blending with clean signal.
