Jazzneck Posted August 14, 2013 Author Share Posted August 14, 2013 The stuff I play is soul, blues, jazzy - more 'old school' if you like - and this pickup tends to (my ears) give a harder, more gainy modernish sound which I find difficult to control when I get excited playing live. In six string guitar terms, it's like the difference between playing a high gain humbucker fitted strat compared to an early '60s strat; I prefer the '60s strat. I hope that makes sense?
