Basslessfret
...if you look at the video at 9 seconds in it definitely has 5 control knobs and a switch laid out as on the 505. I have taken a screen shot ...
And finally, here it is!
hen barn
What is the difference between the 305 and the 505? I'm looking for a 5 mid price range in white? What would you go for?
Tenty
My 504 should arrive tomorrow..........I'm a touch excited!
dave_bass5
And so you should be. Ive started using my 505 again and this time round im getting on with it much better. Still not too keen on the B string (compared to my Sire V7) but its so easy to play.
Marvin
And finally, here it is!
That's a TRBX305. Firstly, Yamaha don't do the 500's in bright red. What you're describing as the single switch along the top line of knobs and the knob along the bottom is probably the light reflecting off of the screws that keeps the the 'performance EQ' selector in place. It's definitely a 305.
dave_bass5
I wonder if he still has it :-)
Simon Gardner
Sorry to bump an old thread but I've recently upgraded my first bass, an old Cort, to the Yamaha TRBX504 and so far I love it. It's a lot more comfortable and sounds great! yamaha trbx504 bass guitar review Edited May 27, 2019 by Simon Gardner

It's a lot more comfortable and sounds great! Hey Simon, Welcome to basschat! And welcome also to Yammy basses! Kinda impressed you've managed to dig out this ancient thread for your first post and amused to find my mate @dave_bass5 as the last poster on it before you (he's clearly a secret Yammy lover! 😂) Glad you're really liking the new bass so far. I've heard that Cort make a pretty decent bass (I think they also make basses for Ibanez, Squier and G&L - all of whom have a lot of fans on BC); so it's good that the Yammy is proving a hit - not that I'm going to be surprised about that! Obligatory pics of the new bass required of course!
dave_bass5
I believe Cort also used to, or still do, make Lakland Skylines as well. Very good quality coming out off the Cort factories IMO. I loved my 505, but just found i wanted a more traditional 5 string Jazz.
