nobodysprefect Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 (edited) Edited for clarity: I'm taking a break from music. Please don't offer trades unless your offer leaves me better off (in the economics sense) than taking cash would. I do not need more basses, I'm selling my music gear. Let's reflect this preference by assigning a trade value of 1500 pounds on the bass. Yes, that is intentionally double the cash price. Edit: so, here's an audio clip. I'm mostly trying to demonstrate that this bass has powerful controls. Someone was kind of interested and then said that Overwaters do not have enough range in the bass boost/cut. Well, there's a bit in the audio clip where I go from 0 to +max and then 0 to -max. No account for taste, but I've very seldom heard pres with more powerful bass controls. Bought this from Tayste earlier this year. Very fine fiver, but trying to cut down and I NEED sixers. I don't need a five. Very slim and playable neck, great ergonomics all round. Walnut body, maple top, maple neck rosewood (? I'll check) board. 36" gives this bass an excellent B string, one of the VERY few B's that are just as slappable as you'd expect a good 4-stringer's E to be. Also, walnut body. This bass has a very weighty and authoritative tone. Full and punchy at the same time. No mud. Versatile. (Hey, Overwater electronics!) nobodysprefect Posted August 9, 2013 Author Posted August 9, 2013 Hi mates, it's a cloudy day here, so not good for photography. nobodysprefect Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 Taking a break from music -price cut
LLOYDWT Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Crazy price for an instrument of this quality. Good luck with the sale. Man my wallet is burning a hole in my pocket.
nobodysprefect Posted August 29, 2013 Author Posted August 29, 2013 There's been a fair amount of interest, but, guys... I'm not looking for trades. I'm probably quitting music for good. The trade offer would have to be stacked in my favour, and not be something too unique either. Fenders and Music Mans are always easy to sell here in Finland.
nobodysprefect Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 Well, that was a freaking hectic month. I still need the room, and have no more gigs or rehearsals or anything lined up, so still selling.
nobodysprefect Posted October 13, 2013 Author Posted October 13, 2013 (edited) bump for audio clip. Thanks for the trade offer, but I've got a pretty nice sixer here at home, so I'm trying to cut down. Edited October 13, 2013 by nobody's prefect
nobodysprefect Posted October 18, 2013 Author Posted October 18, 2013 Bump for rock tones. https://www.dropbox.com/s/kstynti9awoydld/overwater5_02.mp3 The first part is is pick riff, with changes in eq and pickups. I did not go for extreme + mids, because .. I dunno. I'm not a rock bassist I guess. Then there are a couple of riffs with pick or fingerstyle or both. I did not explore the 'ice pick' tones at all.
