finally got a disk to do a software update, from 10.5.8 mac leopard to snow leopard 10.6.8.
i also did the software update on the menu bar. now, I have the above problem.'No authorised device connected'.

The Mail& safari are ok now, but I expect problems.

Can anybody help?

Cheers

IIRC Snow Leopard moved a lot of system resources around to new locations as part of the move away from legacy code. I would suggest in the first instance re-installing Podfarm and see if that fixes the problem. The other thing to consider is that your version of Podfarm is quite old - the current version AFAICS is 2.5 - and it may be that 1.12 simply isn't supported under Snow Leopard. Why did you update the OS?

I was a bit wary going to snow leopard , as I knew it was an annoying upgrade for many users iirc. I looked on the line 6 website and that website is huge , which is a little off putting for one question. Did the monkey thing ( not spanking it), but no good

Have you gone into the audio MIDI interface? There might be something in there to help. I've installed software before, but I forget how to do it now, but go to your applications and into audio MIDI, and see if there's anything useful in there, if you haven't already.
