Maude
That looks really good Pete. I may have to copy that and make a pair to keep in my bag, luckily no feedback problems yet as I normally go through the PA but we have a big venue to play soon and it would be nice to know they're there just in case. Where do you get the foam sheet from, a craft shop? Lovely looking bass BTW, I have one just like it .
stingrayPete1977
Cheers Maude Yes the black foam board was from Hobby Craft, the foam blocks could just be made from washing up sponge really! Now with its matching cover
Maude
I have no association to the sellers of these but saw them on "the other site " and thought they looked quite cool if you're in the right sort of band. I want the flame ones but using small LCD screens so the flames actually flicker . BobVbass
Probably, I'm not too worried about tone at that volume, any recommendations
Kent Armstrong are pretty good and he'll make it for the radius of your board
ubassman
Good job Pete! Whats the fit like from the side i.e. do they sit flat ...and does it even matter if they don't !?
stingrayPete1977
They sit quite well actually, just been playing acoustically to see what effect they have, the bass side is the side that I think will help most but it's all sub frequencies so acoustically you can't hear much difference, the treble side makes quite a lot of difference and some farting noises, not a problem once hooked up via piezo though so let's hope they work! "it's beautiful! and he is selling it! shall I ask?" she says she can see having a DB as a decorative item (much like her classical guitar, which has needed new strings for over a year, but I digress...) and would not mind having that beast of an instrument somewhere visible... unlike my electric basses that have to be kept under lock and key in my little music room away from the gaze of visitors... So a significant part of the battle is already won.

Cat Burrito
I liked this thread at the time & despite my tennis ball trick thought this was an inexpensive way of tackling feedback. Here's my effort but I did wonder how have this worked out for you Pete? Apologies for my white on maple - I really do have questionable taste!
