throwoff
Hey brainy folks, Shipped my bass to deadlifter and it arrived today, bass is good no obvious drops etc but since leaving me one day ago it seems to have lost all active eq? Also when he a/bs it against his other ray full volume seems to be almost 2/3rds quiter on my old bass. Luckily it was fully insured so if shtf I can claim back the cost of any work on parts but can any clever bcer point us in the direction of anything that could result in the bass still working but quiet and the eq seeming to be bypassed? Obvious battery change tried!
stingrayPete1977
Make sure the new owner does not use those stupid leads with the springy thing on, or in fact it would make more sense if you did before, it will bugger the jack socket and only work with that lead after. I have seen one where it works OK with a planet waves lead but not with a normal tip, it gave similar results?
throwoff
Sorted. The battery connection had totally detached from the battery compartment!! Must have been very loose but it hadnt so much as been in a car for a year let alone really shaked about!

stingrayPete1977
From what you said I knew it was going to be no power as such rather than a blown preamp, dodgy jack gives the same result as it does not connect the battery but does connect in a fashion to the controls still, cool.
