Update: Now sold.

Hi there,

I've decided to sell my Wal Mk 1. It's in great condition, dated Feb '87 (W2845), and hasn't been played in years so deserves a new home. It comes with the molded Wal case ... the front-mid latch isn't attached any more but I still have it. I'm not interested is trades, thanks.

Edit: there's a few small dinks / wear to the top and rear edges of the bass (not really visible from the front or rear as you can see). I've posted another 2 pics below.

Selling it for £2500 + postage. Interparcel seems to be a popular choice on this site so I'm happy to use that. I'd be sending from Glasgow.

Cheers.

@ whitecloud... I did get it from sound control, around '98. To be honest I don't really want to sell it but could do with the money.
Thanks for the interest / comments. I'll get back to the other questions soon.

99% certain this is my old Wal....it's a touch heavy - but what a tone!

I bought this bass brand new from McCormacks in Glasgow 1987 for £750 on the never never...I traded my Rickenbacker 4001 for it (I got £350 for it). John Entwhistle played it briefly at one of those a Bass Centre weekends that were so popular at the time down in London.

There you go ...a bit of a history lesson.

I would buy it back if I could.

@White Cloud ... never thought I'd find out the bass' history ... cheers for posting. I did use it to record some of the latter Ganger tracks, long forgotten now, heh.

I have a buyer who plans to pick the bass up on Thursday. Assuming everything goes as planned, just wanted to say thanks for the posts and interest. Should things fall through for some reason I'll update the forum.
Cheers
