goblin
I got one of the leather Warwick gig bags a couple of years ago, and rather irritatingly the zip has gone at the top corner so I need to get it re-zipped. Does anyone know any places that are good for this? Preferably in the North West of England or Yorkshire?
JapanAxe
Dry cleaning shops often take in repairs or have contacts who can do sewing jobs. The problem will be finding a zip that's long enough!
ezbass
I'd try a local shop that does clothes alterations, a repair like this shouldn't be beyond them. Conversely, if the the zip is still attached, just sew up the top section and use the zip for the still intact majority.
goblin
Sounds about right with regards to the length of the zip. Some of my friends who are horse riders suggested I'd be better off speaking to a saddler as it's leather, but again, the zip's a bit longer than the one you find on riding boots Edited August 10, 2013 by goblin
JapanAxe
If you are interested in boots with 3ft zips perhaps someone here can point you to a suitable 'special interest' website!
goblin
I reread the post and thought "sh*t, not worded that one very well!"
Mottlefeeder
Somewhere that repairs tents and awnings would probably have a selection of longer zips. David
goblin
Never thought of that! I'll give it a go

goblin
That's not the problem I have, the stitching has gone and I've lost some teeth
dudewheresmybass
I've always pointed students down the dry cleaner route with this problem. Last one that went to get a zip fixed cost them £
goblin
Cheers, I'll give it a go, I've got to go and drop a suit off at the dry cleaner's anyway!
