tom1946 Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Just traded my sunburst Karl, that looks better than my Jap, and that was mint. GLWTS, this should fly away, deal with confidence folks, Karl is top banana
jamondrums Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Gentlemanly returned favour bump for this lovely bass!
bengovier182 Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 (edited) Hey pal, thanks for the pm, price is a little out of my reach at the moment though. Just a question though, i heard somewhere that these have painted or stuck on blocks, is this true or not? Lovely looking bass either way. Thanks, Ben. Edited August 11, 2013 by bengovier182
karlfer Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 Thanks for the comments gents. Sorry Ben, no idea. They appear to be the same as on the Japan models, which were made for 14 years. It looks like whatever the blocks are, they appear to be under the fretboard lacquer. You certainly can't feel the blocks. Seems to me the couple of Japan Geddy's that came up a while back at around £450 seem to make this look a bit expensive. I generally don't comment on price, but apart from the infuriating cymbal incident, this is immaculate and only a year old. They were both to say the least a bit mojo'd and neither of them were the more expensive sunburst. So, as against a new "real" price of £760, I think £530, or £560 with Gator hard case is VERY fair. Cheers, Karl.
bengovier182 Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I agree it's a very good price, just a bit more than i have at the moment. If it's still here when i can afford it I'll snap it up Always the case; when I've got money, there's no basses, when there's basses, there's no money lol. Ben.

I really MUST stop looking Edited August 11, 2013 by karlfer
tom1946 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 (edited) Scary this, just traded my geddy same as yours and now you want an LPB Precision with maple board!! That's my main go to bass. It has an SPB-1 and a Kiogon loom with a kill switch too, awesome bass. Spooky.... Edited August 12, 2013 by tom1946
timmchale2009 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Karl I must insist you cease and desist immediately! Why you have so many nice bass??

the hand of john curley Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 This is a great price. I've got the blk mij and wouldn't sell it for the world! Found my "for my life" bass !!! But to include a case with this is amazing value!!!! Good luck, amazed this is still about!
Fionn Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 NICE! ... From the photos that looks as well finished as any Fender I've seen.
karlfer Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 (edited) Thanks chaps, yes, very good price in my opinion. Very well finished, but still needs to go I'm afraid. Cheers, Karl. Edited August 23, 2013 by karlfer
MB1 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 ='tom1946' Spooky.... MB1. ...Totally Dusty Springfield!
karlfer Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 (edited) Thanks Martin Now considering trades for something a bit older. Roadworn Fiesta Red jazz or Lakkie Duck Dunn favourites, but feel free to ask. I'm very weak willed Edited August 21, 2013 by karlfer
tom1946 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Karl, I hope you've had the offending cymbal beaten to death? (There's a pun or two in there somewhere?)

(There's a pun or two in there somewhere?)
Our drummer will never walk the same again Tom . The Warwick has gone, might put the Glaub up as this is showing no real signs of going anywhere. Guess I'm looking for somebody who wants to buy a new Geddy, but can live with a headstock chip for the sake of saving £200. Edited August 23, 2013 by karlfer
Delberthot Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 I have to agree about the newer Mex Fenders. So much better IMO than previously. I can't fault mine and the necks on these are amazing
karlfer Posted August 26, 2013 Author Posted August 26, 2013 Thanks again chaps. If this one isn't going to move, doesn't matter too much. I can put it up a bit cheaper in a years time when I won't think I'm losing quite as much . In the meantime I may put my Glaub up instead.
I see you're from the 'Tom Anderson school of emolumentary logic' I think there is about 3 of us now (Why do I keep looking at this bass slobber )
karlfer Posted August 27, 2013 Author Posted August 27, 2013 Master Tom, our number is 42 . Seriously though, very little interest in this, I need to reduce my number of basses so I've put the Glaub up
Chest Rockwell Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 random I know, but any interest in a trade for an orange SP212 plus cash? I'm in Cardiff tho, might involve driving! I so love my black Geddy Jap I would like one in Sunburst too!?!!
