iconic
Just noticed something interesting on an Ebay listing that made me think...why do they do that? ....when Fender put a serial number/inspection/date ink stamp in the body pocket why do they apply the stamp before the paint has been layed down, hence not finished before stamping? Got to be a reason but why? Edited August 11, 2013 by iconic
wateroftyne
I'm not sure that's a old Fender. It's not American, for a start.
wateroftyne
Just had another look. It looks like MIM, maybe? But then, it's an R serial number. Which I think means it's MIJ. Flip knows what it is.

wateroftyne
Ah, so I see. To be fair he doesn't say it's 'vintage' or American. Just as well, 'cos it's neither.
