franzbassist
I think calling him a luthier was generous, to say the least.
Lorne
One of the top Luthiers in the country, seems to lack enthusiasm for work apparently
flyfisher
Why did you leave it with him for THREE years?
Myke
I reckon they did that when you told him you were coming to pick it up. Probably left in a cupboard for years..
BigRedX
If this is who I think it is, then I'm glad he never got back to me when I enquired about the possibility of him making me a 5-string version of a certain iconic bass of his... Thunderbird
I think you should name and shame the fool who did this to your bass , anyhow I hope you get it fixed mate
Dave Vader
I think I know who this was, you are not alone. I've never used the bloke though, had an argument with him in his old shop years ago about something very trivial, and decided not to use him then. Lorne
It's a real shame, I gave him a second chance, after he stuffed up the inlays, paint and removed the serial number on my Widow bass, I told him to get the Ironbird right, or I would kill him. He is such a nice bloke, but he is too old and nice to hit, he's most likely at the end of his career now. The bass is now in the hands of someone who says abot 4-6 weeks :-) Edited August 12, 2013 by Lorne

apa
Ah its the old 'Lots of little holes to make a big hole' technique. Cool (until they coincide with the pickup mounting screws!!) That workshop did remind me a little of a rifle butt factory in 1940's Leningrad but hey if it worked A
