coffee_king
Hey all I've been asked to price up a few dates for my band during the Christmas period (Works dos) and was wondering how everyone else works out what price bracket to charge from? The same price as weddings? Just wondering. Cheers
JapanAxe
I don't usually charge more unless it's Christmas Eve (at least double), Boxing Day (ditto) or New Year (at least triple).

Prices are relative to a normal Saturday night in a social club, and yes we would be taking our own PA.

That is generally the lower end of what we charge mind you.
CPBass
We tend to charge our standard wedding fee and as they tend to be in our locality we don't hike expenses or expect a rider. They are very fruitful as they do tend to generate a good number bookings for the coming spring/summer wedding season so its a double whammy. We all have kids so we don't go out at Christmas unless its silly money and 100% agreed, if anyone is reluctant it doesn't happen, no hassle. NYE is reliant on inflated fee and a big fat alcohol rider, an understanding that the band will be partying is also mandatory. I can't remember the last year I didn't 'work' so it appears to be an acceptable modus operandi.
