bagsieblue Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 (edited) I love my SGC Nanyo Bass Collections. Who has the best, poshest, rarest example on here? Im thinking one of the nice natuaral wood, gold hardwear examples? I think there is a rare SB8xx series. Also the Bass Collection Jazz bass copy. Edited August 15, 2013 by bagsieblue Quote
debass Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Here's a pic of my cracking SB465 fretted five string - top of the range according to the 1995 catalogue. The neck and fretwork on this bass is stunning, arrow straight with a low, fast action and a solid B. I'm not using it enough right now as I'm mostly playing my trusty Fender 4s so it could do with a new home, at the right price. Quote

pete.young Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 (edited) You need to look in the 'Musical Backwaters' thread for the truly rare examples. Someone had an 800 series and there was a guy who used to post on here called Karim who had a 600 series with LEDs . I have an SB465 which has been modified with a 2-band Nordstrand pre-amp and a GK-3B Roland pickup, also a natural ash SB320 fretless. BassBunny Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Not sure about Best or Poshest, but here are my 3. The silver one is a 1988, the trans-red a 92 and the blue one a 2000, probably a transition model made in Korea.
