So last night I get the studio all set up and ready to go to rehearse, go to play and there's hardly any volume coming out of my amp. My first thought is it must be the lead from the head to the cab, checked that and it's fine. Then I thought oh no the cab has blown or something so I tried run my guitarist head through it quickly and that's fine too.

So it must be there head, it all powers up, however one weird thing is the peak light is always on. I have to turn the volume up very very loud to get even a tiny bit of sound. So I think I will be sending it off to Marshall :(

Anyone had this sort of thing before?

No, and a word of warning, if you have the volume on very loud and it suddenly comes to life, you`ll blow your ear-drums, those amps are incredibly loud. Bear in mind these amps are getting on a bit now, time for a service. Take a day off work, book it in, and book the tour round the factory. They`ll do it while you are wandering round. Great company, Marshall on their customer service.

I was being very careful trust me aha! I would love to head up their but I'm not going to have time before our next gig, it's being picked up tomorrow and they said it would take about a week to sort out. On the phone they think it's something to do with the limiter circuit. Hopefully and easy fix for them. Absolutely love this amp!

Nice one, they are very good on their pickup/turnaround times, and are usually spot-on with their thoughts on the problems.

How could they possibly lose an amp, that's ridiculous. I suspect that there is now a very disappointed bass playing UK Mail employee.

Exactly! I sent it off last friday, was expected to take a week, it's especially annoying as I have a gig tomorrow. Luckily I'm borrowing a friends head.

Had a call from Marshall yesterday and UKMail have found it! It must have fallen down the back of the sofa or something I guess....

So apparently it SHOULD be with Marshall today! Hurrah!
