Hi there

just stumbled across an odd looking cab, it's a 3x15", and the owner claims it's good for guitar or bass, which I thought can't be the case.
There are no hints on the cab (brand, etc.), so anybody got an idea? Bass or guitar? It's a very, very old cab, that's for sure.

Thanks for any input.

Edit: Opening it up an having a look at the speakers would surely help, but that's not possible right now. I just got the pic, not the cab.
Judging by the small dust covers those drivers may be generic musical instrument drivers from the late 60s or early 70s, which were used for both guitar and bass. By modern standards they wouldn't work very well.

If my memory serves me well, which it probably doesn't, that could be a Triumph cabinet. http://www.voxac100.org.uk/triumph.htm catalogue pictures half way down the page.

Good spot Bert, and I particularly like the opening line of the Triumph brochure: "Thermionic is the Triumph word for more-than-valve."

As good a piece of marketing bullshit as I've read all week. :)

Thanks for that link, "thermionic" sounds great, haha. And yes, I'm aware of the tear. The cab is on auction and currently my £15 bid is on top ...

I'm wondering if those are Goodmans drivers? My Audiom 15-Ps have that big thick cork gasket on the front and also the edging looks similar but without the tear! Mine are rated for 50w each so I would expect those to be similar juding by the era..
