I'm not an expert on the valve thing, just read about what the grading means on a website when I was looking for valves. funny how many people talk about valves without ever mentioning this vital little fact !!!!!!!

Yeah, it's also often assumed that for example all 12AX7s have the same gain coz the X is present in the name, even when valve producers' websites do mention they have X valves with different gains. This assuming is apparent on BC too.
Me, I know zilch about valves, but I do know who I rather listen to in this case.
