I used both my F hole covers and my tail piece foam mute, no feedback at all which was good, shame we didnt get any time for a soundcheck as there was diners, I had a much nicer thumpy tone at practice but hey ho.

Here's another one of me with the Harley Benton, I really like the light in this one, just a shame about the cheesy smile :D

Thanks. I added that and the detail around the scroll, I've always liked black basses with cream binding. It emphasises the curves to help it look a bit more DB-esque.

Here is a photo of me from a play I was in at the Crucible in Sheffield last year. The piece had an onstage jazz trio and was set in the 50's. My costume was a real treat! Tank top and bow tie is a classic combo! :-)

Maybe you could borrow Steve's outfit for your next youtube lesson Geoff? I have just been practising walking bassline lesson 1 Geoff (printed from the toolbox), I am even getting the high F in the two feel at about 100bpm but I need to slow it down to progress with the 4 notes per bar bit, I have even bought a new metronome! :)

I was thinking the same thing. Extra points for tassels :-)

Having watched a couple of your lessons, the fourth finger is a bit flat :) Working on it!

I'm struggling with maintaining my beard shape when shifting and the tassels are getting stuck in the strings... :-)
