Can Anyone Identify this Bass Guitar

Hey Guys first post here,
I have been scouring the internet for details on this bass, Its brand, year of manufacture, anything really but haven't had any joy. If anyone could give me any information at all about it I would appreciate it!
It seems to play very well,I have a feeling its maybe custom built but I could just be talking sh*te.
My dad picked it up in a charity shop In the north of Scotland on his travels for £40, This is about all I know about it lol! BTW that number on the back says 1060571

Hi there,

Welcome from another north o' the border! The bass looks a bit like a Hondo II Proffesional that I used to have many, many years ago. Weighed an absolute ton! if you put Hondo II Proffesional into Google you will get some similar images eg:

Agreed, it's definitely a Hondo, pretty sure it's the Professional model. I've always liked the look of these basses, £40 is an absolute steal!
