Fionn Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 (edited) I'm aware that Jack Bruce, John Taylor, and Cliff Burton were players of Aria SB's... but which other famous bassists have been known to play them? Edited August 21, 2013 by Fionn Quote
Dingus Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I remember Pete Trevawas from Marillion playing one , and Trevor Horn , Quote
police squad Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 (edited) me, but I'm not that famous (as you may know SB-R150) The guy in the searchers played a fretless in the early 90s (although it may have been an RSB, it was blue and I played it once and it was fantastic) Kronos from Venom used an SB1000 Jim Rodford from the Kinks used one when I saw them a good few years ago Edited August 21, 2013 by police squad Quote
Dingus Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013
So many ... Neill Murray and Rudy Sarzo, Tony Butler and Marcus Miller, Bruce Foxton and Paul Weller (on Style Council recordings), Les Nemes and Campbell Owens ...
I never knew Marcus Miller used one .He kept that one quiet ! Quote
SteveK Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Not a famous bass player - a fairly famous artist (in her day) - most definitely a famous show. Quote
Dingus Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I remember going to see an up and coming heavy rock band called Chevy at a local music venue/ pub in about 1981 and the bass player had an SB1000 and it sounded great . I had just started playing at that time , and in those days an SB1000 was considered to be one of the best basses to have . They had a selection of then in the local music shop , but ,alas ,they were out of my price range . Quote
