Jellyfish Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 My dream P-bass. One of the best Precision's I've ever heard with flats on. Quote
bartelby Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I love my SH P. Even though I've swapped it to round wounds it still has the thump it did with flats. £750 is a great deal these days (mine was £800 brand new in 2010) Quote
Graham Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I was there today, spotted that but forgot to ask Mark for a go on it, played some other great basses though. Quote
ChickenKiev Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I actually prefer his West Ham one. I don't even support the Hammers but it makes me want to. Blue plus a mirror pickguard? Really, a mirror pickguard? That's like having an ash trash on a motorcycle! I can imagine the talks at Fender while designing it: "Hey guys, lets use the least scratch-proof material possible for the pickguard!" Quote
winterfire666 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 i tried one of these a while ago, i really wanted to like it but it just wasnt for me (im a massive steve harris fan too) it was awfull, everything seemed wrong, the neck profile, weight, balance, setup even the strings felt just plain wrong. oh well there go my aspirations of bieng a steve harris impersanator. iceonaboy Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Is it not just a P bass? I mean, I have never had a test drive on one of these, but whats really the difference between this and another P ? Quote
winterfire666 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 never been a pbass fan either(or any fender bass for that matter), i was hoping this might be a little different. if anything the neck felt a little chunkier than the last p i tried although i dont remember the exact model of that one either.
You can pretend you're in Iron Maiden!! Edit: I do like the blue and maple combo, though. Not too sure about the mirror pickguard. I saw Thin Lizzy back in the day and PL's mirror pg blinded half the audience. The other half were too pissed to see anything at all. Edited August 22, 2013 by discreet Quote

I like the 'real' relic job, too. i.e. it's not a relic job - before you all write in. Edited August 22, 2013 by discreet Quote
bartelby Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Every now and again I think about buying a gold pickguard for mine. If I ever see one cheap enough I'll do it. Quote
