ferg36
Hi, I would appreciate some advice, just purchased a Mesa Walkabout Scout head and need a cab(s) to go with it. The type of music I mainly play is good ol classic country. I just need to support the groove, no slapping or anything difficult like that. Seen the Krampera cabs in Bass Direct and wondering if the 1 x 15 cab, 300w at 4 ohm would be good for my needs. Cheers Ferg
RandomBass
Hi Ive never heard or tried Krampera gear, but I vaguely remember a review in BGM a year or so ago. If you are referring to the B1B cab at £894, then it seems rather expensive and heavy for what it is. I'm sure you can save money and get a lighter and possibly better 15" cab elsewhere. You could even get a high quality 2x15 which weighs much less for that same money, and is a similar size. Like I said though, I've never heard or used one so the 'possibily better' bit may not be true... goblin
Best guy to ask is probably Tom Kent on here, he uses one. I'll point him in the direction of this thread
wateroftyne
I use a Walkabout, and I play quite a bit of country / roots. Have a look at thiis thread for some cabs that are a perfect match for the Walkabout, IMO... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/212014-tks-engineering-112-cabs-new-to-the-uk-review/
ferg36
Guys, thanks for the replies. Yeah very tempted to go with the TKS cabs, just not sure whether to go for 12's or 15. Cheers again Ferg
