JapanAxe
I'm no technophobe but I never seemed to hit it off with MIDI. It always seems to do what it wants, and not what I want it to do. Trouble is I need to use it to tweak up my godawful drumming on my digital kit. I recently purchased Sagantech Metro SE which includes an excellent MIDI sequencer. I took the opportunity to re-do all my MIDI connections and check that my home-made MIDI patchbay was working, and all seemed fine. However, I couldn't get the program to respond to MIDI clock from my 16-track recorder (I love hardware me!), and eventually tracked it down to an unsoldered joint in the patchbay, which sometimes made a connection and sometimes didn't. I built the thing in 2000 or 2001, so goodness knows how many problems that gadget has caused me! So, just sharing some of that happy bunny feeling. Off now to prepare for tonight's gig at Portishead WMC - truly the big time...
