Just thought I'd pop in and say hi. I'm a complete newb to all things in the lower registers, played a bit of guitar a while back, but haven't done anything for years now, but am getting back into it. Always wanted to play bass, hence why I am here. I picked up an old aria pro bass (one of them jazz/precision hybrids) ages ago, that I'm hoping will serve until I need something decent. Musically I'm into folk, bluegrass, blues, soul and good old fashioned dad rock. Will no doubt have lots of questions for you all.

Welcome!
You're not alone. Quite many here need to learn something ( ), and quite many "always" wanted to play bass. I'm like that myself as well, and old to boot.
What do I say? I'm too old to boot even.

Anyway, read the fora (there's a lot of stuff on here) and ask away! Answers will flow in your general direction.
