Samashton12 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Hey guys, Anyone got pictures of what the neck pickup route is like under a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz? I like the look of them but id be taking the pickguard off it Preferably a Natural or 3TSB Thanks, Sam Quote
davehux Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 It's a channel cut through the body to the control cavity, so would show when you take the pickguard off. Quote
Josh Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I'm currently awaiting a tort plate from TBD: Can't say I'm a fan of it without really. Quote

iconic Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 [sub]The VMJ fretless body has no cutouts, you could graft that to a VMJ fretted neck.[/sub] Quote
DorsetBlue Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 (edited) Vintage (i.e. JHS) Jaco copy (that would be fretless too, so again would need a neck from a Vintage J)? Edited August 28, 2013 by DorsetBlue Quote

Biaeothanata-Bassist Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I'm off to have one of the white VMJ basses ordered to my local music shop tomorrow. Like you I would of preferred it if the neck route was direct round the pick up as i like having the pickguard off too but I suppose you can't win them all! Quote
jezzaboy Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Im pretty sure the Jap re issues have no extra routing under the pickgaurd but they may be out of your budget. Quote
